The Michael G. Santos Foundation bases its program content on the Straight-A Guide curriculum. Michael describes the Straight-A Guide through literature he writes, as well as by the example that he lives. The Straight-A Guide serves as a compass that Michael has used to navigate his way through the adversity of a 45-year prison term.

Adult program participants may use the Straight-A Guide to emerge from prison as law-abiding, contributing citizens. At-risk youth program participants may use the Straight-A Guide to steer themselves on a course that leads to fulfillment and avoidance of further complications with the criminal justice system.
